Real Alternative : Play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer

Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia file without having to install RealPlayer or RealOne Player.

Supported are: RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil), RealText (.rt), ReadPix (.rp). It also supports RealMedia content that is embedded in webpages.

RealMedia .smi and .smil files are not fully supported, only the first part will usually be played. This is a limitation of the current Media Player Classic. The RealMedia Browser plugin supports Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla and Netscape.

[ Limitations ]

.smi and .smil files only play the first part of a clip. RealMedia DirectShow splitter does not work with streaming content. You must use Media Player Classic to play streaming content.

It is highly recommended to uninstall all existing Real related software, like RealPlayer or RealOne Player, before installing. This way make your system stay clean and potential problems will be avoided.
